QCAA president Edward Addie has announced gym sites for the 2012 QCAA Rumble Basketball tournament June 1-3 in Charlotte, N.C.
The tournament, which is for second grade through ninth grade boys basketball teams, is in its 11th year.
This year's event will be held at Carolina Courts, Kennedy Charter School, Kennedy Middle School, Providence Day School and Ray's Splash Planet.
"We are proud to be running our Rumble Tournament for the 11th straight year," Addie said. "We are happy that so many teams have partnered with us in the past to make this event a success and a big part of that has been creating partnerships with schools and people in and around Charlotte to get the best facilities. I don't think there's any event in North Carolina that has any better facilities than the Rumble for 2012. We are very pleased that we can bring in teams and introduce them to wonderful facilities to play in."

The QCAA Red team (7th) won the USBA State Championship during the May 11-13 weekend.
The tournament featured 28 teams from all parts of North Carolina. The Force won six games over the weekend without a loss and concluded their run with a 79-70 win over the Triangle Flight. This is the first USBA State Championship for QCAA.
The QCAA organization has now won AAU and USBA State and two USBA national Championships. The 7th Grade Red Team improved to 22-6 on the season and looks to build momentum with trips to the MIT and Nationals on the horizon.
On May 19th, QCAA Red is hosting a One Day 7th Grade Tournament in Charlotte. We have two (2) spots remaining. Let me know if you'd like to play. The cost is only $135 per team, and we are holding three point shooting contests between games. We will have the PA system going. It should be a good time.
Please contact Pete McArdle if you have any questions. Cell Phone is 704.607.1008.

Crump's son, Kohl, had a breakout tournament, scoring seven points in one game, and Khiry Jackson had 27 in another game. Also, Saadiq Horton had 13 points, Jordan Payne 17, Chase Montgomery 5, Brock Bowen 11, Justin Brown 2, Jake Brockmann 4, and Billy Brewer had 4 in indivual games. Crump said Jordan Dawkins had some big rebounds for the Blue team.
"It was a total team effort," Crump said.
